Experience that translates
Mr. Gorodesky's analytical foundation was established at Laventhol & Horwath, where from 1984 through 1990 he directed hotel and food-and-beverage consulting assignments involving market analysis, feasibility, financial projections, operations, development, and litigation support. In 1990, he founded Restaurant Advisory Services, Inc. He has since been retained in more than 150 hospitality-related matters involving economic damages, lost profits, valuation, operational performance, and complex commercial disputes.
That advisory and expert-witness work has been matched by direct accountability as an owner, developer, and operator. As founder and chief executive officer of Refined Hospitality, he has led hospitality businesses employing more than 800 people across hotels, restaurants, private clubs, event facilities, and spas, with aggregate profit-and-loss responsibility exceeding $40 million. He conceived and directed award-winning boutique hotel projects—including The Reeds at Shelter Haven and River House at Odette's—from market positioning and concept development through design, opening, and operations.
His record also includes serving as agent for the receiver of Centerton Country Club, subsequently acquiring and transforming it into The Grove at Centerton through a comprehensive repositioning, redesign, and approximately $5 million capital investment. Annual revenue quadrupled before the property was sold in 2024. He remains actively responsible for restaurant and bar ownership and operations through Revolution Woodfire Grille and The Boat House. His work as a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania and Florida adds transaction, development, and valuation perspective.
This breadth enables Mr. Gorodesky to evaluate whether a claimed loss is actually attributable to the event at issue—or to market conditions, competition, capitalization, operating decisions, cost structure, or management performance. His opinions are informed by decades of responsibility for people, capital, risk, operating results, and owner returns.
Expert-witness approach
Matters are evaluated carefully before acceptance. Conclusions are developed from the available evidence and supportable methodologies—not from a predetermined outcome.
Unsupported assumptions and weaknesses are identified directly. The objective is clear, understandable analysis that can withstand scrutiny by counsel, courts, and other decision-makers.
Intellectual honesty is not a talking point. It is the foundation of credible expert work.
